Journey is a new church start of the United Church of Christ.  We offer extravagent hospitality, vibrant worship, spiritual formation for all ages and an opportunity to make a difference through service and mission both locally and around the world.

Change is gut-wrenching.  If it ain’t broke, why fix it?  So just how broken (or broke) do you have to be before you embrace change?


One of the earliest hand games I used to play was the old “Here is the church, here is the steeple, open the doors and see all the people.”  If it has a steeple, it must be a church.  Of course, churches MUST have steeples.  How else would you know it’s a church?  It’s traditional!

Ramadan Visit
Mark August 28 on your calendar and join us for a Ramadan dinner at Al-Fatemah Islamic Center. 
 
We'll join members of the mosque as they break their fast during this season of Ramadan and then we'll have an opportunity to listen as they share the meaning of ramadan and other aspects of their faith.

Please plan to join on Friday, November 19 when we'll host an holiday shopping party featuring items from 3rd world countries, fair trade items and local merchants who will be donating a part of their profits to Engeye.  

FOCUS on School Supplies Project 2010 

July and August
The FOCUS on Schools Supply Project will be collecting school supplies throughout the summer for children who use the FOCUS Interfaith Food Pantry.  The aim is to provide children with the basic supplies they need to begin school in September so they are prepared to participate fully in class.

You can bring your donation to church and place it in the collection bin or you can make a cash donation (Make check payable to "FOCUS", mark "School Supplies" and send to: FOCUS c/o Allan Tedrow, 275 State Street, Albany, NY 12210.
